How It Works
A structured, 4-step path from first visit to lasting structural results
Dr. Joy performs a full-body postural and structural analysis to identify the exact root imbalances driving your symptoms.
A custom corrective plan designed around your specific structural findings — not a generic protocol.
Structured sessions combining chiropractic technique and corrective pilates to progressively realign your body.
We teach you to maintain alignment independently — so results last well beyond your last session.
Patient Journey
A clear, structured path from your first visit to lasting structural change.
Dr. Joy examines your full posture and spinal alignment. You receive a clear explanation of what's causing your pain or imbalance — and a specific program recommendation.
Corrective exercises begin. Your body relearns correct movement patterns. Most clients feel reduced tension and improved posture awareness within the first few sessions.
The spine and pelvis begin to realign. Pain significantly reduces. Progress is assessed and the program is updated based on your structural response.
Structural correction is stable. You graduate with a home maintenance program to preserve your alignment — and prevent regression long-term.

Common Questions
Everything you need to know before your first visit
Structural chiropractic focuses on the alignment of the spine and skeletal system as the root cause of pain and dysfunction. Unlike symptom-based treatment, we assess the entire structure — pelvis, spine, shoulders, and head — to find what's driving your problem.
It depends on the severity of the structural imbalance and how long it's been present. Most clients see meaningful improvement within 4–8 weeks. A clear program timeline is given after your initial assessment — we don't keep you guessing.
Programs at SPINE-X are primarily exercise and movement-based — corrective pilates and structured rehabilitation. They are not painful. Some corrective exercises may cause initial muscle soreness as your body adapts, which is normal and expected.
Yes. Dr. Joy has extensive experience working with adolescent scoliosis and designs curve-specific programs — not generic scoliosis exercises. Early intervention is especially effective. We work with adolescents from age 10 and up.
Massage addresses muscle tension temporarily. Physiotherapy often targets the symptomatic area. Structural chiropractic identifies and corrects the underlying skeletal and postural imbalance that's causing the problem in the first place — leading to lasting results rather than repeated cycles of relief.
No referral is needed. You can come directly. If you have existing X-rays or MRI reports, bring them — they're useful. If not, Dr. Joy will perform a structural assessment during your consultation and explain her findings clearly.
